This hotel truly surprised me with its value for money. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the proximity to Stanford University and the many places of the campus. They even had a helpful staff interested in helping me locate nearby food or bus stops. The hotel's location was perfect, as it was close to the center of Stanford's campus. The rooms, equipped with two queen beds, were clean and cozy, offering all the basic amenities I needed. Plus, having a kitchen in the room was a bonus.
Although everything was generally okay during my stay at this hotel, the breakfast left something to be desired. The coffee was a bit watery, and there were some items missing, like yoghurt and properly toasted bread.

The cleanliness and the helpfulness of the front office staff were the best things. Also, the continental breakfast was very nice.
Did not have the prices for the "honor bar" posted anywhere? Or maybe I missed it?

It was clean and cozy. Its location is a little far on foot to the downtown of Palo Alto, but their shuttle service covers good enough. One of their staff was impressivly kind to help me to find my bag I left at the restaurant in downtown.
Everthing was great but I think they could offer it for a bit lower rate.

Had a lovely Christmas stay at this hotel! Best aspects were the beautiful flowers and the comfortable beds. The hotel is conveniently located close to many attractions and the staff was friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the continental breakfast as well, with plenty of options to choose from.
Worst aspect of the hotel was the poor Wi-Fi connection. It was slow and at times unusable, which made it difficult to keep in touch with family back home.

Stanford Terrace Inn is the closest to Stanford University unless you want to stay at a chain like the Sheraton. I like to support local businesses. The rooms are incredibly spacious, the setting is lovely with a deck/garden area, and the breakfast is exponentially better than most "breakfast included" places. Wifi is free.
Walls may be thin or family next to me on my last stay or above me on an earlier stay might have been exceptionally noisy. Whatever the explanation, my stay was not as serene as I had hoped given noise from other guest.

Overall an excellent hotel, with wi-fi included, very good breakfast included, and veery good and polite staff. One particular staff member went out of her way to help us get to the train station.
Elevator (lift) to higher floors was difficult to find. Not sign posted. We walked up with our luggage.

Nothing. It was very expensive "cheap" hotel. I paid 200$ for something which is worth 50$ only. The hotel is construction side now.
Nothing, I would leave after 1 night, but was forced to stay another one. Nightmare.

This hotel truly exceeded my expectations in several aspects. the value for money was superb. I was pleasantly surprised to find affordable prices for a room with two queen beds, kitchen facilities, and even a comfortable seating area. The attention to detail in the rooms was impressive, with well-maintained amenities and a thoughtful choice of furniture.
No improvements needed.

Convenient location for Stanford campus, and weekend football game. Breakfast included.
Charges on bill for "honor bar"...I.E. Cokes in the refrigerator. No notifications throughout the room (...thought prior occupants had left them!)
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
